Behind every project is a desire to change lives. Together, let’s move towards a fairer, more sustainable future.

Sustainable growth for SMEs

Create, structure, optimise. Patrick Lussier is driven by a deep passion for the sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. His academic background bears witness to this: a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in progress, a Master’s degree in Project Management from Université LAVAL, a certificate in Leadership and Change Management from MIT, and two certifications from Cambridge University (UK) – one in Business Sustainability, the other in Circular Economy.

But beyond his qualifications, it’s the practical application that excites him. Patrick believes that a well-run SME can transform lives, create quality jobs and generate real economic and human impact. Today, he puts that passion to work for Portail Phoenix and a number of other entrepreneurial projects.

Empowering disadvantaged communities

In 2020, Patrick founded ForBetterCommunity, an NGO dedicated to empowering vulnerable populations. This wasn’t a cosmetic initiative, but a grassroots commitment, nurtured by years of experience on several continents. From setting up a food cooperative in Guinea in 1997 to supporting local projects in the 2020s, Patrick firmly believes that sustainable change requires access to education, entrepreneurship and economic dignity.

Infrastructure and sustainable construction

With TripleWaterfall, Patrick combines real estate investment with environmental awareness. He is actively involved in the development of value-added residential and multi-family infrastructure, mainly in the United States. For him, real estate is not just a financial asset: it is a lever for urban and social transformation. He seeks to integrate sustainable practices and a long-term vision.

Scuba diving

Diving means breathing differently. Patrick is a certified SSI scuba diving instructor. This passion leads him to explore the depths, but above all to cultivate calm, full presence and respect for living things. Underwater, everything slows down. The only things that count are self-control, listening to your body and harmony with the environment.

His favourite diving partner: Maryse. He was there for her very first dives and accompanied her throughout her progression until she reached Dive Master level. Together, they shared many memorable aquatic adventures that strengthened their bond far beyond the surface. This common bond with the sea also symbolises their way of life: deep, confident and always in search of sincere harmony.

Globe-Trotter

For Patrick, travel is not an escape, but a return. A return to himself, to curiosity and humility. Every country he visits, every culture he discovers, every unexpected conversation he has, enriches his view of the world… and of himself. Travelling helps you to understand that no-one holds the absolute truth. It invites you to accept others, to marvel and to grow.

Photography

Patrick is not naturally patient—except when he has a camera in his hands. Photography is a real exercise in presence for him. It is one of the few areas where he accepts—and even enjoys—slowing down. Waiting for the right light. Observing the details. Listening to the silence before pressing the shutter. It’s not just about capturing an image, but an authentic moment, a flash of truth suspended in time. This practice helps him cultivate attention, see what others don’t perceive, and reconnect with a simple form of beauty that is often invisible to those in a hurry. Photography is his art of the right moment.
